Intended for teachers, support staff, and school administrators, this professional development day will focus on the guidelines governing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as well as the use of the Aspen system.
School staff will have the opportunity to participate in activities designed to support the consistent and effective implementation of the PEIs across all schools. A reflection session and a workshop will be held with school staff.

To mark International Day of the Girl, Parents Partners in Education (PPE) invites you to a new edition of “Mamans en mots,” a virtual event celebrating children’s literature, the French-speaking world, and the power of inspiring female role models.
In the company of the author, educator, and speaker Guédeline Desrosiers, participants will discover how stories and female characters can help foster girls’ confidence, creativity, and sense of belonging. A read-aloud of an excerpt from the world of Lili Rose will also provide an opportunity to explore different ways to make reading lively, interactive, and engaging for the whole family.
The event will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the role parents can play in encouraging their daughters to read, write, tell their own stories, and, above all, develop their voices in French within a minority context.
A presentation by TFO will enrich the event with interactive storytelling strategies, simple techniques for making family reading time more engaging, and ideas for incorporating digital tools into the exploration of French-language books, particularly through the Boukili platform.

CyberAcademy with Cyberlegends
This training aims to strengthen school staff’s knowledge and skills in digital citizenship, online safety, and cybersecurity. It introduces the educational resources and interactive tools available on the Cyberlegends platform, which can be used to teach students safe, responsible, and ethical behavior in digital environments. Topics covered include the protection of personal information, the prevention of cyberbullying, the critical evaluation of online information, and the development of healthy digital habits.
The Basics of Understanding Emotional, Sexual, and Gender Diversity: Choosing Our Words Carefully to Promote Respect and Inclusion (Franco-queer)
This workshop aims to build knowledge about emotional, sexual, and gender diversity. Participants will learn about the main components of this diversity, including sex assigned at birth, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientations. The workshop also provides an overview of the identities represented by the acronym 2SLGBTQIA+, the flags associated with the various communities, and principles related to respecting self-identification. Presented in an informative and accessible manner, this workshop helps participants better understand the terminology used and promotes inclusive and respectful practices.
Framework Programs
This workshop will provide an opportunity to review the implementation of the “Read Once, Read Forever!” resource for staff working with students from kindergarten through 2nd grade. Participants will also learn about initiatives related to the Eco-Schools program, as well as coding and robotics activities using LEGO designed to develop computational thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills in students. A hands-on exploration session will allow staff to familiarize themselves with the resources.
Student Success Plan (PRÉ)
This time will allow school staff to analyze the various available data in order to develop a comprehensive picture of student success, identify priority goals, and pinpoint effective instructional strategies. This collaborative approach will help guide initiatives that promote the success, well-being, and personal growth of every student.

Homework, research, creativity, learning… Artificial intelligence (AI) is playing an increasingly important role in young people’s daily lives. While these new tools open up many possibilities, they also raise questions for parents: How can we tell if our child is using AI appropriately? How can we help them develop critical thinking skills? And how can we strike the right balance between the benefits of these technologies and the risks they may pose?
This Parents' Night invites you to join an open and supportive conversation with other French-speaking parents in Ontario so that we can reflect together on the role of artificial intelligence in family life and our children’s learning.
By sharing our experiences, concerns, and questions, we will explore different ways to support our children in an ever-changing digital environment. In particular, we will consider how to encourage responsible use of AI while fostering their independence, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
You don't have to be an expert in artificial intelligence to participate! Whether you're comfortable with these technologies or are simply looking to understand them better, your experience and perspective as a parent have an important place in this discussion.
An opportunity to take a step back, learn from one another, and come away with new ideas for supporting our children in a world where AI is playing an increasingly important role.
